World Trauma Day, 17 October 2015
In celebration of World Trauma Day on Saturday 17 October, Ethekweni Hospital and Heart Centre partnered with the Law Enforcement Foundation comprises of National Sea Rescue Institute, Dog Unit, Fire Department, anti-hijacking unit, accident unit, and tactical helicopter division to promote World Trauma Day at Northwood Crusaders Sports Club, in Durban North.
The day was design to be both educational and fun. There were static displays and demonstrations highlighting emergency services, free health screening and more…
Ethekweni Hospital and Heart Centre supported by Ampath and Lancet provided free health screening. In addition there were CPR and choke demonstrations.
As an accredited Stroke Centre of Excellence, EHHC provided education and awareness around Stroke which the 4th most common cause of death and disability and the leading cause of disability in South Africa.
Ethekweni Hospital gave away loads of goodies.
